“Living with an attitude of Gratitude”

Personal Experiences

I went to church with my aunt yesterday. Being the day before Thanksgiving, the speaker spoke about just that, giving thanks. It was a beautiful, thought-provoking message which really warmed my heart. And his points …. truer words had never been spoken.

We spend too much of our lives complaining about the things going wrong instead of expressing our gratitude. Both the good and the bad things in our lives are worth giving thanks for. Give thanks to God for the many blessings He bestows on you time after time.

You have life, food, family, friends and the list really is endless. You might not have gotten some good sleep but you have a bed. That’s something to be grateful for.

An important point that was made in the closing of the service was that we should never base our gratitude by measuring and comparing our situation to someone who is less fortunate than ourselves. Just be grateful for being grateful’s sake.
