Friends Turn Enemies

Poetry, Uncategorized

You were my friend, I never thought you’d be my foe,

I thought this friendship had a long way to go,

I trusted you with all my heart and gave you the label “friend”

Simply because I thought you could play the part.

I told you all my secrets, I thought you’d never tell,

Thought you were an angel, maybe Gabriel,

Turns out that you were Lucifer, riding straight from hell.

It’s just a fact, we hear it over and over again,

Be careful who you trust, who you call your friend,

They’ll betray you for thirty pieces of silver or even less,

Don’t get your heart broken,

Save yourself the pain and stress.
